Guest guest
Hello again CATs! I heard a rumor last week that I wanted to comment upon. Apparently, if we are missing a course, such as Research (which many of us seem to be), there is a chance that we may not have to take it after all. Some applicants have made the argument that their thesis should count toward the requirement. Hamilton states, " The Department has not made such a determination at this time. " So, that seems to say that there's a chance this may be acceptable. If you would like to make this argument, make sure that you submit some sort of letter from a professor stating that your thesis should count for that requirement. Make sure you supply the information required (Form 2, syllabi, etc.) so that the department can evaluate your education. Again, if there are deficiencies they will have to notify you. Hamilton also states: " When we start reviewing the education we may have other questions that need to be addressed in a systemic manner as well. I will be discussing the remedies and problems with our Comparative Education Bureau to address these and similar issues. " My advice for now on such issues: Be brave, creative, and thorough. Have a joyous memorial day weekend! --
