Dear Group,Whenever the topic of conversation turns to PG, some newer members get confused. They are just learning about EN, and probably never heard of either condition. The following is a msg that is sent to all new members, so if you haven't yet read it, please do.Our "ERYHEMA NODOSUM SUPPORT GROUP" supports members with either erythema nodosum (EN) or pyoderma gangrenosum (PG). While EN is rare, PG is even rarer and that is why we have fewer members with PG. Than EN.PG is much more serious than EN and requires care by a specialist.Having EN puts one at greater risk of developing PG, but still most with EN will not get it.PG often is associated with other autoimmune disorders like Crohn's Disease, however, not always.Since these disorders are related, and many with PG once had EN, we find no problem with discussing both issues on this one group. EN members need to be aware of PG symptoms in the rare event that they develop it. PG requires immediate medical care and knowing how to recognize it and how it is treated can save you from unnecessary pain. We are here to support each other and hopefully learn from each other.Love,idio. EN '68
