Guest guest
> > > do you know anyone who recovered from pssd if so tell how long does it > take to recover > Hi. I don't know if anyone has ever had a full recovery. I assume that if they did, you probably wouldn't hear about it. Simply because they just wouldn't feel the need to keep posting. My husband suffers from pssd. Let me just say that we have had one of the longest year of our lives. He's been on all kinds of meds for over years. He started very young. He is now years old and fixing to turn 25 in November. He suffered from all the symptoms: no libido, trouble reaching climax, not being able to achieve climax, and numbing of his penis, even when we were having sex. It almost destroyed us as an intimate couple. He finally made the hardest decision of his life. After trying wellbutrin, in the hopes of reversing the damage, he just quit everything. EVERYTHING! No meds. Not even an asprin. He also detox his liver.Try milk thistle. He slowly started seeing results. First came the ability to climax, then it came easier for him to do so, then came some libido. Now after more than a year we pretty much have sex every day. On good days, we even have it 4-6 times a day. He still gets some numbing from time to time, it comes and goes, but for the most part I more than certain we'll see even better result in another year or so. Needless to say, he doesn't read these post anymore. Now that we're having sex, he doesn't obsess about it like before. So i know it's hard to stop medication, especially when you're looking for a cure. If you're involved with some one, do what he did. Be honest, explains things as best you can, and ask for help. Help in dealing with this, help for staying stronger and not asking the doctor for meds, and help to stay patient while you detox your body. And let don't forget to let your love one know that you WANT nothing more than to feel them. You just need time. Good luck.
Guest guest
Thanks very much for sharing you and your husband's story. It does seem that recovery is much more possible if you are having sex regularly with a loving partner. Most, if not all, of the people that have recovered have been in relationships. Porn and masturbation just won't do it. Again, thanks for sharing the good news.
