When we lived in San Diego, we saw Dr. Hollis King, a DO who did craniosacral

work. He helped my daughter tremendously (precipitous birth, chronic ear

infections) and also did a couple of sessions with my son. When he saw I was

pregnant, he offered to check ph out, so to speak, after he was born.

When we moved to Roseville, we saw Dr. Shea briefly and she also did work on my

daughter. We miss her terribly.

I should add that will be 20 in January so I don't even know if Dr. King

is still practicing. He was fabulous.

CranioSacral therapists or pediatric chiropractors) ? I lean to gentler

modalities like cranioscaral, etc myself but I’d love to gather feedback on

DO’s in relation to BF support. Thanks

We are blessed with a wonderful DO in our area that does osteopathic manipulation. He is wonderfully gentle and very knowledgeable about how his work impacts breastfeeding. He has been able to help almost every dyad I have sent to him. I also have a pediatric chiro that does wonderful craniosacral work, although she is not a CST. She does home visits for a local midwifery group and I have been able to watch her in action with one baby who was tongue-thrusting and having great difficulty latching. She spent a few minutes adjusting him and he latched on and nursed beautifully right away.
