Guest guest
i understood that they changed their policy a few years ago. I got a letter to that effect--that I could charge whatever I want for the pumps. (I always have anyway!)Yes, Hygeia is great, but very frustrating that they are always out of pumps--at least this past year. I hope that gets better very soon... They wont tell you what the rules are or how to be one, just no.If you advertise a discount you will be cut off from buying the merchandise. There was reporting in articles that BRU and Medela and some other high priced baby product manufacturers do this and keep the prices of the products artificially high, along with squashing the competition. The FTC is investigating because it intereferes with a consumers ability to get a better price. As far as the products, have you noticed the change in quality lately? I love the Hygiea and can't wait for the Melody. The old gray mare just aint what it used to be. Nor does the old gray mare care if its making money. I have long since felt that this was an illegal practice, but, then we do have Apple doing same, no? When I was in my early 20's I was the buyer/mgr for New York Hospital's fancy gift shop. This really slimey guy, Roy used to come in to sell these deluxe, imported candies that were quite expensive. He, however, made my skin crawl and I could barely stand to work with him. I LOVED the candies though... oh, the truffles, etc, were to die for. My darling, wise assistant from Panama used to say to me, "You don't like the man, but you sure like his candies!" I often think of this with Medela... I really dislike this company in every way, but hey, I really do like some of their products and find I cannot live without them. So, there you go.
