Yes, first from wheatgrasskits.com and second from Sprout House...because I

don't really even know if I like broccoli sprouts, and SproutPeople sells in

minimum 1 lb size. I bought much smaller sizes.

setup!!

spring water, but did eventually start turning brown during day 4. I sent a

message (answered very quickly) to SproutPeople. Unfortunately, my message went

the way emails often do - Kate apparently stopped reading before the end where I

gave all my growing details and said maybe it was too hot or not drained well

enough. Suggested I stop sprouting them before they turn brown. But, with only

1/3-1/2 cup of sprouts at that point, it's just too much effort for the rewards.

So, I just ordered a Sprout Garden from Amazon, which will arrive on Tuesday. I

will not throw away the Easy Sprout, though. Hopefully will find a future use.

broccoli attempts.

If you want a real powerhouse for helping w/ breathing try the radish/ hot

mustard mix......also, if you juice.....do a little orange/ carrot/ ginger

juice.....and take turmeric and or ginger supplements.....great for the

lungs.........

Re: More Sprouts Turn Brown UPDATE

I want to grow broccoli sprouts because they seem to be the most nutritious,

and I have emphysema and have seen some evidence that the anti-inflammatory

properties of broccoli sprouts may be beneficial to ease breathing. I will try

other sprouts later if I can get the broccoli sprouts going.

I agree about the radish. In fact I purposely bought 2 lbs of radish seeds so I

can add (just a bit) to every batch. They grow like crazy and they make all my

salads taste wonderfully.

And I'm FINALLY getting them into Alan. He likes sandwiches for dinner now

(easier for me too). So I get some low sodium turkey, I take a roll, some Coney

Island Deli Mustard, LOTS OF SPROUTS, and Alan is in heaven.

Me? I like tuna Salad with Sprouts.

And this morning I met up with my friend across the street Jackie. Remember her?

She came into my house and saw my Shelving system and I handed her a fresh bag

of sprouts at that time.

Well this morning she told me 'I'm going to my son's house for a few days " . I

said 'Oh you must bring sprouts " . (Her family gets a kick when she walks in

with my shoots and sprouts)

I told her " I'll leave a bag on your front door so when you get home you can

put them in your shopping bag and off you'll go " . She was happy.

Well. I knew I had an hour before she got home from her beauty parlor

appointment so I harvested LOTS of sprouts, (they had all greened up). I made

her a big ziplock bag filled with sprouts and a little ziplock bag with sunnies

and pea shoots.

As I was walking across the streets (thinking I would just hang them on her

doorknob), the door opens and it's her landlord and she saw the sprouts and she

yelled 'OH, Sprouts!!, JACKIE LOVES YOUR SPROUTS'

I said 'Alberta, if you ever would like some sprouts, just let me know, I have

plenty " . We talked sprouts for a few minutes.

Slowly, ever slowly, I am becomeing the Sproutlady of Bensonhurst Brooklyn.

Lol
