Guest guest
I joined the group back in December, but have been spending alot of time with other family members that had babies, so I havent spent much time online. is 5 1/2 months old now. When she was 6 weeks old, we noticed flattening on the back right side of head and her ear pushed forward as a result. I questioned the pedi at her 2 month visit and was told she was a girl and her hair would cover it and that I was over reacting as a new mom. I took her to a neuro on my own and he ordered a CT Scan. She had the CT Scan done Jan 6th and it was negative for cranio. I still persisted with the pedi and it took 12 weeks and seeing the 4th pedi in the same group to give me a referral to a crainiofacial surgeon at Yale. In the meantime, I had joined this group and learned about Cranial Tech from all that I had read from everyone's postings and experiences. I took on my own to CT in Conn for an opinion to make sure that they could help her. The following week I went to see the Doctor at Yale and Lynne from CT was there when had her appt. On a scale of 1-10, 10 being the worst, the doctor rated her plagio at a 7 1/2. I was given a referral instantly and she was casted the following week.My insurance approved to pay 50% of the band as that is all my benefit allows. is now in her second week of her band. After one week of treatmet, I was able to notice a difference. I was able to see where her head is starting to round out. I am so amazed. This is the best decision I ever made. Reading all of the postings about other's experiences made this an easy decision for me. Thanks!
