Sensory issues and venting

Hi Everyone-

I was wondering how many kids out there have sensory issues. My dd's OCD has

mostly sensory issues. She can't wear clothes. I have been washing the same

pair of underwear every night, they are about to fall apart. Last year she

started to do rituals to put her clothes on. We are on a very high dose of

Luvox and Abilify she is only 6. (I HATE IT!! I HATE IT!!! I HATE IT!!!! I just

had to get that out) She was doing OT for a year for the sensory issues but I

didn't feel like it was doing too much, plus I was going broke paying for it.

Does anyone have a kiddo with mostly sensory issues? Do you do OT? She has not

had rituals on the meds but her anxiety level can still be high, especially in

school.

I also wanted to vent about the counselor that we have been seeing. We have

been seeing her for about a year and a half. The whole family has seen her and

really liked her. Two weeks ago my daughter crashed and raged for 2 days. My

dd already had an appt scheduled with her on Fri. and she saw the distress she

was in (went to the appt in her PJs and no shoes), she told my husband I should

call her on Sat. I called her on Sat and left a message. She ALWAYS has

returned a call within a day, she has even called back after 9:00pm. She never

returned the call, I called again on Mon...no call back...I called again on

Thurs....no call back. No call back through the weekend and I called again on

Mon and she has still not called back. She is in practice herself, so I can't

call a supervisor. I am just so hurt cuz we had really liked her and the last

time she had seen my daughter she was in such distress.....I don't know I just

thought it was so crappy and I had to vent about it. Even if she would call

back now I just don't think I could go back to see her now. Now we are going to

have to search for another counselor...SIGH!!

Thanks for listening I just have been firmly stuck on my pity pot since my

daughters last crash and I just can't seem to get off of it and I HATE IT I HATE

IT I HATE IT!!!
