Guest guest
Hey zoloft - I can see where you are coming from. But you know? Those starving unhappy people are in a constant state of depression. They may not know of anything else. -I appreciate your thoughts, its probably true that they are depressed. So they should all start taking SSRIs for solution? No, right ? thier problem is more complicated than that, we are able to see the problem as an outsider, which like you said they may not know anything else, much like ours, so why solve ours by depending ADs ? when our lives are as much complicated as theirs. I may laugh and smile during the day but that doesn't mean I'm out of my depression for good or even at the time. As an example, when a person is dying of cancer and normally cries from the pain smiles or laughs at a joke or what someone did, does that mean they don't have cancer for that moment they are laughing or smiling? -One of the most important things they tell their patients at the cancer center is to convince them and make them believe they will survive. Ive seen a documentary where they had higher percentage of survinvg and all who beat cancer believed that they were going to live, no matter what doctors told them and of course with proper treatments. I beleive at the moment you are genuinly laughing and smiling you are out of feeling depressed and after that you might go back to the depressed state of mind. I'm afraid there are too many " holes " in your theory for it to hold water. I wish it were true through, then I wouldn't have to make this difficult decision to stay at 5mgs of Celexa or enjoy my sex life 100% again. -Im not trying make up some theory or prove one. Im sharing something I read and experienced from a book. I was talking about alternative view and treatment other than a already heavily favored depression treatment. Hey why come on to this site when you can treat your problem with Celexa theory. Dont you ever wonder why it might cause sexual side effect while it makes you happy ? It is really not a side effect, it could be easily marketed as a drug to help people kill their sexual function and say the side effects are overly energized ,happy, violent, unable to sense the reality of surroundings. You also said, " people in the past survived ad. " - WRONG! People in the past who had light depression probably just took a relaxing swin or meditated. Those with moderate depression were institutionalized as being either insane or possessed by demons and killed. And those with the very worst depression simply killed themselves. -I said people who survived. So how would you explain kids who killed their families and friend who took ADs? I myself was this close to running someone over when I was on Zoloft. Plus many people who spoke againt the common knowledge were accused of being demons not people whow were depressed. There is no such thing as simple solution to a depressed person. Certainly not a drug, it may work as a quick fix, but not a solution we should obey and celebrate. Thank goodness those days are over. Now, if we could just get doctors to study courses about andt-d's instead of just listening to the pharm. reps., THEN I think we'd make some progress. -Im not saying your point of view is wrong, but it is very commonly known, I was suggesting an alternate view of the issue.
