Wenoka, thanks for the suggestion, I'll talk it over with the GP tomorrow.

Mouth Ulcers

I'm not very familiar with the various causes of mouth ulcers. I know that

for years my aunt did not get cold sores. She seemed to have a natural

immunity to them. Then, as an adult, she got one, but it snowballed and

she got ulcers in her mouth, esophagus and stomach. She was quite ill with

it. My doctor looked at a sore I had on my tongue a few weeks ago and said

it looked like the cold sore virus (HSV1). He mentioned that the cold sore

virus is the most common cause of canker sores (ulcers) in the mouth. You

may want to see if they can find out if it's the HSV1 virus (I'm not sure

if the meds he's already on would keep them from being able to tell or not.

I know that when my son had meningel encephalitus that was caused by the

HSV1, the results were delayed because he had been so pumped up with

antibiotics.
