Guest guest
Wenoka, thanks for the suggestion, I'll talk it over with the GP tomorrow. Mouth Ulcers I'm not very familiar with the various causes of mouth ulcers. I know that for years my aunt did not get cold sores. She seemed to have a natural immunity to them. Then, as an adult, she got one, but it snowballed and she got ulcers in her mouth, esophagus and stomach. She was quite ill with it. My doctor looked at a sore I had on my tongue a few weeks ago and said it looked like the cold sore virus (HSV1). He mentioned that the cold sore virus is the most common cause of canker sores (ulcers) in the mouth. You may want to see if they can find out if it's the HSV1 virus (I'm not sure if the meds he's already on would keep them from being able to tell or not. I know that when my son had meningel encephalitus that was caused by the HSV1, the results were delayed because he had been so pumped up with antibiotics.
