Guest guest
Are you talking RIGHT AFTER exercise, or even the same day? I use to exercise a lot before pssd, and I never imagined doing anything sexual after it - because I think after exercise you've used up all your energy , all of your functions are warn out so desire maybe hindered. I wouldnt' worry at all if you're talking right after or even the same day, your body needs a day or two to recuperate to fully get back to normal. Then you reap the benefits. Guest guest
I see your point about needing to regain energy after exercise, but my feeling is that this isn't really the way the body works. A half hour or an hour after exercise, just enough time to get your breath and heart rate back down, that's the best time for enhanced sex. Anyway, you might want to try it if you haven't already, and see if it helps. But there's also the long term benefit that you mention. I think it's even more important since it's needed for overall health. Dave --- mlynch1500 wrote: > Are you talking RIGHT AFTER exercise, or even the > same day? Guest guest
I've found that power walking tends to decrease my energy and destroy what little libido I have left. What I have found is that doing weights tends to give one a feeling of strength, which can make one feel more like a man (after the feeling emasculation that PSSD causes.)I've been hitting the weights a fair degree over the last couple of days and have noticed at least a tiny improvement in my sex drive (though it's a very minimal thing, and I still feel dickless.) One thing that has DEFINITELY worked on my libido is Salsa. Without wishing to sound crude, after a good salsa workout with my girlfriend,I get more erections than I average during a non-salsa month. Unfortunately, once out of the salsa class, things tend to go a bit limp and disinterested again. Maybe salsa is the key to conquering PSSD?! Guest guest
Let me chime in here. I can remember, in my pre-Celexa days (when I had a high libido), that I would notice I had virtually no interest in sex right after a workout. So I think this is perfectly normal. I think it's important not to overthink things - people with normal libidos also have fluctuations in sexual interest for a variety of reasons. When your body is recovering from an intense workout, it's natural for the body to shut the sex drive down a bit. I don't think constantly assessing one's libido is a good thing. Working out makes me feel good, so I will continue to do it. I'm not going to stop doing cardio because my libido takes a hit afterwards. This is normal! Guest guest
I believe the initial effects of exercise decrease testosterone and other hormone levels but they increase the production rate after recovery if not over exerted. Correct me if I'm wrong on this. Also when we exercise we lose many nutrients so it also depends on how much one is exercising and their nutrition level before the exercise whether it does more harm than good. I read more than 1 hour of continuous exercise actually breaks down the body 30-45 minutes is most optimal. But it also depends on the exercise running/lifting/etc. Also probably doing an exercise one enjoys most (for me basketball) will probably produce more endorphins and may be even more beneficial just an opinion tho. So there are tons of factors to consider in this. > > > > I've found that power walking tends to decrease my energy and > destroy > > what little libido I have left.
