Guest guest
I was just reading the info on the bottle of Kirkman EnZym-complete with DPP-IV and it says to take w/food or beverage. It doesn't say to take 1/2 hour prior to meals so perhaps it depends on the brand used? Because it is hard to give enzymes to my son, I'd rather control the food he eats and give him the food that is easier to digest (SCD). But even with a simpler diet I do think some children with more sensitive stomachs require enzymes. Since I don't know which enzymes are SCD legal, I just don't use them unless my son gets into some gluten food. I read somewhere that even when using enzymes, when the offending food it eaten it touches the stomach lining interfering with healing process.
