Guest guest
Hi- my name is Kaitlyn and my son Austin (9/18/00) was just referred to a physical therapist this week for tort and plagio- we are reading all we can on the websites you all mentioned and can't seem to get enough of the info on the bands - which we will pursue for him. We were told there is no company with a clinic in northern california- we'll have to go down south to Cranial Technologies in Burbank/SanDiego- if you know of any clinic with offices above Fresno (we live north of San Francisco) I'd love to hear about them. Also, has anyone inquired into chiropractic care for torticollis or plagio? My chiropractor believes it fixes everything, of course:). But, I'm uneducated in its benefits for this condition. Thank you! Kaitlyn and Marcus

He kept wanting to do an adjustment on . I finally let him do a couple. We got straight on pt and the two chiro treatments I had, I didn't see any benefit. Matter of fact, the second one and last, the next day we got sick with our first ear infection. I guess others have had luck and I truthfully do think they have an important place in the medical field. Matter of fact I told our pediatric neurologist that we were seeing a chiro and he was very supportive and thought traditional and chiro need to work more closely and wished they were on staff with him to work with. Thought was way cool. I'm not going back but continueing with craniosacral therapy until done with our band. Then I'm done! Guest guest
Hi, My name is Sue and we live in Bakersfield. Our daughter, , got her DOC band from Cranial Therapies in Burbank. We have only about an hour and a half drive. There are patients who fly down from the bay area for treatment. I have also read e-mails that mention a helmet clinic at Stanford University, but that baby was already " too old " at 7 months for their program. You are soooo lucky to be aware and starting to research while your baby is so young. I would also try to find someone in your area who can deliver the Starband, which is very similar to the DOC band and is made by Orthoamerica. At their website, they can refer you to clinicians in your area. Good luck with your journey. We're all here to help! Guest guest
I live in San . I am pursuing treatment through Stanford (Lucile Packard Children's Hospital). They use a helmet that is similar in principle and weight to the Doc Band/Starband and we have been thrilled with the progress our son is making. He started at about 7 1/2 months and has worn it for about 9 weeks. > Hi- my name is Kaitlyn and my son Austin (9/18/00) was just referred to a physical therapist this week for tort and plagio- we are reading all we can on the websites you all mentioned and can't seem to get enough of the info on the bands - which we will pursue for him. Guest guest
Hi Kaitlyn and Austin! My name is Kim and I take my son to a chiropractor - mostly because he wouldn't put weight on his right leg, but my chiropractor knows everything about his helmet and treatment. She treats his neck - and I have seen improvement on the way he arches his back and also that his neck muscles are not as hard like rocks like they used to be. I am not sure I believe she can fix everything - but she has told me of certain chiropractors that deal strictly with the head - and it is amazing the things she has seen. Good luck and let me know if you think going to the chiropractor is helping! Kim -----Original Message----- From: cjj408@... THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU! We had just contacted LPCH to see if they had a program and you have just confirmed it for us. We also are meeting with a doctor at UCSF next week- I was referred there by Orthomerica for the Starband. Our son is only 3months next week so we are not sure if they'll proceed yet or not.
