Depends how tactilely defensive he is. DS very much around his head. In the end we bought a flexible 3 headed electric razor - ours is by Philips - made a game of pretending to shave a few months before it was going to be essential. Shaving cream is a big problem. the Green People one is awful - sticky and then drying. Haven't found anything that actually works well. Currently trying Lavera but I think its maybe got some bad ingredients. Would love to hear other suggestions that aren't oily or too foamy and don't clog the razor and actually work on the skin. DS manages now mostly on his own but needs help with the cream and prompting to do it in the first place of course. A friend tells me electric razors aren't nearly as durable as they used to be.

He advises against foil heads and for going for the older-type round ones that

are placed in sets of three. He also said it's hard to find one that will just

plug in and run off the mains - most are rechargeable. When the battery runs out

and won't recharge any more then you have to buy another razor...One that ran

off the mains would keep going.

(I wish I'd kept my dad's old electric razors.)

No shaving foam here, doesn't have anything really but his father does and he is just fine without foam, when he can be bothered at all!

prefers traditional wet shave.

Boots had half price sale on electric shavers just recently.

I think you need to buy another battery Margaret, not another razor, the instructions say to hold on to model number for purchase, they should go at least 18 months before new battery is needed, even longer if your not using every day.

Rechargeable will work whilst being charged off one of those two pronged plugs.
