Total Tuck ?!

Hey Mel!

I KNOW it is my kind of necessity!! I have reseached all different kinds of

tucks and options to fix this wonderful post ds body! God has been very good to

me. I have lived with no health insurance since the day that Enron crashed. (my

ex-husband worked there) SO for almost two full years since DS I have played

Russian Roulette. God answers prayers! Sometimes too well! I have in insurance

as of the first and this last weekend I developed or at least first noticed what

I am sure is a hernia! SOOOO I have an appointment with two surgeons starting on

the 2nd! I had one big hernia fixed when I had DS and I am more then sure that

is what this wonderful new pain is! I ti is funny, no ryhme or reason...I am

training to run a 10K in April and lift weights often. But when did I feel

this?? While lifting laundry detergent at the store....UHG...maybe laundry

should be out! LOL Seriously though, Bill and I will have to self pay the part

that insurance won't but I feel the total tuck is the only way I can go. I live

in a swim suit at work and I just have too many areas that still scare small

children when I wear one! There were only a few docs doing a total tuck but two

have now trained out here on the east coast with the doc in Kansas City who

invented the procedure. SO if I feel comfortable with one of them I will have it

done the first week in August.(Do to my vacation schedule) I shall update

everyone as I know more. I know recovery will be tough. We will do everything

except the " top half " of me which I am sure I will have to do yet later. I

expect to be off work for 6- 8 weeks. But also by the grace of God I can get

paid for the whole time based on how my vacation works.

On a lighter note!!! I got to see our very own Amy C last night! She is out in

Washington DC for a work related conference and we drove over and had dinner

with her! She looked great and it was wonderful to get to see one of my good old

ds buds out here on my coast for a change!! ( Isent her home with a hug for ya

Jo) We areed last night to fly out for the pool party if it is in

July.....otherwise we might go ahead and come in April. Someone let me know!

Well there is a quick update on my life...I am always out here reading but

rarely have time to post. As of Friday I am off for 3 weeks so maybe I can catch

up. I pray this hernia co-operates till August....I know now I am pushing my

luck!
