Legal and Financial guardianship at 18?

Hi,

is 17 and I feel I need to sort out Legal and Financial

guardianship for when he turns 18. Does any one know anything about it

and would we need a specialist solicitor....if so can anyone recommend

one please.

Hi,

If you're in England (and Wales too, I think) you make an application to the

Court of Protection to become a Deputy, but you don't have to do it, unless

there's a lot of money involved or you're worried that someone else may apply.

There are advantages and disadvantages some of which were discussed on an

easrlier thread.

In Scotland the system is different.
