Guest guest Posted March 4, 2012 Report Share Posted March 4, 2012 Hi, If you're in England (and Wales too, I think) you make an application to the Court of Protection to become a Deputy, but you don't have to do it, unless there's a lot of money involved or you're worried that someone else may apply. There are advantages and disadvantages some of which were discussed on an easrlier thread. In Scotland the system is different.
