Guest guest
Good, if I decide to get one maybe you can tell me how to hook it up. I never have figured out about hoses, etc. The only problem with the solar heaters is that the batteries die after a while. I change out my solar lights about every year. Would be nice not to have to use electricity. You have to plug in your batteries every so ofen then.t Carolyn Wilkerson  To: sproutpeople Sent: Monday, May 21, 2012 5:48 PM Subject: Re: Need an opinion on this  I can't see any advantage over battery powered, except the current price. I'm installing battery units on all of my raised bed. They cost about $37 each. Each meter will control 200 foot of hose.I could have bought one timer for the entire garden, but because each bed has it's own water requirements, I went with a separate timer for each bed. ew Need an opinion on this I just saw that Home Depot has a sale on a Solar Powered Watering system (RainMaker). Price went from $49.50 to $28 shipped. It waters the plants every 3 hours and adjusts the amount based on sunlight. Comes with 12 drippers and 45 ft. of hose. What do you guys think about it? It's a one day sale. Carol S.
