Here in Texas many mothers are under the impression they should avoid spicy foods. Really a burden for all the Tex-Mex fans. I tell mothers to assume they can eat everything ("if it's good for you, it probably good for your baby") and to call me if they think their baby is sensitive to something in their diet. The most common sensitivity I see is baby becoming colicky due to cow's milk in mom's diet.
