From Andy Wakefield: 'Grateful'Carmel was involved in a head-on collision on Monday night when an oncoming pickup lost control and crossed into her lane. She was trapped for 45 minutes and was finally transferred to Brackenridge Hospital in Austin. She sustained severe injuries but with exceptional care she has been stabilized and is pain-free. She has remained conscious throughout and has no significant head trauma. It's going to be a long haul back but she is in good spirits and we are most grateful for the kindness that she has been shown by the autism community, family, and friends. Andy
