Guest guest
Wow!!,is all I can say,for all the hardwork ur family and Manas did, to secure a place in the exchange programme list. Despite ur presence in a semiurban place,u have really given excellent coaching to your son and I join all others in wishing ur son a wonderful stay in Denmark and also in welcoming to India(Well, she will be a part of Mukund's family and so also of our MGIMS parivar, too). I am happy to learn that these clubs like the Rotaryclub, the Lionsclub, are doing whatever it takes to brighten a child's future and my best wishes to them. Giving lectures and travelling places is something I could never imagine in my 11th std. Medical college mein bhi casepresentation karte karte pasine nikal jaata tha. Now there r TOASTMASTERS club for children, adults and yes, even for doctors here in the middleeast. Bye. Shyam(84) Re: Re: Denmark programme-TO Mukund. Dear All, Dera Teji, Thanks for giving information about the exciting bridge. When asked Manas he has seen the one on Discovery Channel. The bridge has been suspended inbetween the sea level and bottom. And Kishore, Manas will definately post the pictures of the same (if allowed to be photogaraphed) Now to the query from Shyam- Manas is going to Denmark in Rotary International Youth Exchange Programme. This is the only progarmme which is for children (15yrs to 19yrs of age)of Rotarians.(Otherwise all other programmes are executed for NonRotarians.) At Nagpur at our Rotary District interviews were held and 24 students were selected for exchange in various parts of world. The information of these candidates was distributed to all other Rotary Districts where there were students ready for exchange. So according to convinience and some choice the country and student of exchange is decided. This is the way is visiting our place and Manas is going to Hvidovre, a subarb of Copenhagen.(The family not known yet.) Manas will be going from ?July/August to ?June/July for one year. During this period he will be studying the course parallel to the 11th std of India., so that he will not miss one year of his academics. Secondly, he is interested in Architecture so he will be placed at a family where he will get the exposure to this profession or arts in which he is interested.( He is good at drawing and plays violin) Again he will have to deleiver lectures at various Rotary clubs regarding India and her culture.( He is supposed to be Cultural Ambasssador.) The same thing will do for Chalisgaon. I hope this clears all your querries.
