Re: I met some farmers today. How fabulous

We have had winds here up to 50 miles an hour. People have broken windows and

lost garbage pails. And in the same week it hit almost 80. I'm not putting any

plants out anywhere until April. I can't put a cover that would stay on so I'm

keeping my nice little leaf lettuce in my house on a sill until this happens.

How often do I water this thing?

The farmers I met today told their story about how the guy's dad owned the farm

and after the war, the government came and told him: " We are taking some of your

land and we'll pay for it when we get around to it " . Good Grief.

And someone today asked them if they will continue to have family members keep

up the farm. The guy said " Sadly no, my son has a job and the farm does not make

enough profit to do just farming so most farmers today also have day jobs "

Monsanto did this didn't they?
