Guest guest
Anon, In regards to doctors telling you " it's all in your head " ... I agree and disagree with doctors on this one. Although I certainly believe in a mind-body connection, and I believe that certain circumstances can lead to certain physical problems, it hurts me to hear that your doctors are telling you this. That's only going to add to your frustration. I finally found a doctor who realized that my endocrine system was really messed up, and was affecting all kinds of things. I feel worlds better now that I'm on medication to regulate some of my endocrine glands/hormones, even though I still have an elevation in antibodies and a few other wacky things. Anyway, I just wanted to let you know that even though emotional states can certainly lead to physical problems, DON'T let doctors convince you that you're crazy for knowing your own body. I went through that once and it was extremely frustrating. (Like we haven't already had enough stress with our Nadas/Fadas denying our reality, and then some doctor tells you it's in your head when YOU'RE the one who's been living in your body for several decades.) Good luck finding a GOOD doctor. They're hard to find sometimes, but there are still some out there. I hope you find out what's going on and start feeling better. I think that tackling some of these Nada/Fada issues will help us physically as well as mentally. If our emotional state/environment creates a very REAL physical problem, we still need a little medical help getting the end result fixed (while WE work on the environmental circumstances to prevent it from happening again). Best wishes in your quest for better health. __________________________________________________
