I read something that said avocadoes could be grown ina pot and sounded like tey

were surprised when the small tree gave them avocadoes.  So worth a try.  Might

take a time to get something started though.  Next time I get an avocado maybe

I'll save one.  They would grow where I am but don't want anything oo high

here.  I don't know if they would make good plants for espalier or not.  They do

mess up th underground sprinklers, any tree would.  If I get something started,

I'll plant outside eventually.  Too hot inside and I do't have enough space as

I'm in mobile home.

Since grows everything but redwoods in her home (or so it seems : -

), I thought I'd ask this question of her, but certainly others are welcome

to chime in.

Is there any point to growing avocado seeds for anything other than foliage?

I have a bunch of seeds and was just wondering about that. Can they be

grown indoors ok or should they be kept outdoors during non-winter months?

I don't necessarily expect them to produce avocados although that would

certainly be lovely, but I really hated to just toss the seeds. If I were

to plant them outside in the ground (in addition to containers) is a

possibility they'd actually grow into an avocado tree?

I know I can Google all my questions, but wanted to see if there is any

first-hand experience in this very knowledgeable group first!
