My husband had his thyroid removed and is on a thyroid replacement medication,

too (actually 2 of them because of the doses).   He takes a generic

synthroid.  He can't get off that because he has no thyroid to make the hormone

he needs.  Medication replaces the thyroid production.  That may be the same

situation.   Something might have helped before the thyroid was gone.

, you have taken your meds down from 17 to 1 or 2 pills, that is very

marvellous.

I do not know what is prednisone, but I would like to ask you, , if you

are working on eliminating the one for thyroid as well.

If you do, I will be interested if you are getting there and how you make it

work.

I am only on one low dosage, for hypothyrodism.

Saw some ad on virgin coconut oil which is good for hypothyroidism and I am

about to try it. Yes, I Want to be pill free.

Congratulations to you.  My husband and I have a small pharmacy.  I am

diabetic and have arthritis and HB pressure if I don't take the meds.  Of

course, losing weight could resolve those conditions to where I might not have

to have meds.  My husband's situation is different as  he has a number of

problems where he takes medications but he is on less than he was before.  And

he is getting a better balance and doing better.  He can't go with too many

veggies because of the dialysis he is on.  Veggies have a lot of water in them

and that is pulled off.  Just too late for him it appears.  Will be checking

with nutritionist to see what sprouts he can have.  One step at a time.
