It is also important what the focus of attention is. For stroke rehab the neurofeedback process would be potentiated by the client/patient focusing on the area of the body being rehabilitated.

I liked this article

It is a NICE and clear scientific lit review on the subject of brain maturation-

http://www.loni.ucla.edu/~thompson/PDF/TTS-TINSBrainDevelReview2006.pdf

Having fun this week on a powerpoint regarding neuroplasticity and biofeedback.

(fond memories of Barry Brucker)- a quick update:

15 articles in pubmed since 2008 on Constraint Induced Therapy for Stroke rehab.

Bilateral Therapy is already in phases of government studyin the U.S. for its simplicity, and efectiveness in motor repatterning post Stroke.

Not to much on Neurofeedback alone. 7 pubmed accepted article on my search for NF and Stroke. Since 1995 .

There are 40 studies out so far this year on Stroke rehab. All muscular: EMG. Pretty much divided in 2 groups- Continence retraining and Arm or Hand rehab. The majority of abstracts were coupling the emg with outher technologies and techniques. AND- ETS training for localized muscle rehab has its own set of dedicated articles.

There have been 7 pubmed accepted article on my search for NF and Stroke. Since 1995 to present.

The rule for neuroplasticity is that the BODY sends info TO the BRAIN to make the brain change. With NF we create a situation wherein the BRAIN can send directly TO ITSELF. Which is a very powerful way to till the soil and build furrows for the seeding of the new brain after stroke. BUT-

The Body, in my interpretation of today's literary excursion must still plant its seeds to gain real FUNCTION. NeuroMuscular coordination.

O yeah, enjoy the article:

Mark,

YEAH!!!!

Just by paying attention to an object we modify it.

(in our work, for the better).

PS-

Water is one of the most malleable matters known.

Proven to be changed molecularly by mere thought and emotional tone.

We are 70 to 90+% water! U.H.U.
