Carolyn, if there's a Trader Joe's anywhere near you, their raw almonds are very

inexpensive and may actually be raw!

whatever happened.  He smelled the sweet smell and the person was diabetic and

on insulin and the diabetes wasn't where it should have been or something and so

he smelled  the sweet smell.  I don't notice that but I do not have the

acquired senses of a blind person.

> speaking of sweet, I found this on line on one of the vitamix sites, though

this recipe doesn't take the vitamix to make it.  it is a sweetner she calls

Nectar of the Gods.  It is a mix of coconut water and Medjool dates.  It

sounds like a great sweetner with electrolytes, fiber, etc.  i saw it in

checking out almond milk and to use it for a smoothie she puts the NOG in it as

a sweetner.  I may end up making some almond milk as it looked easy to do.

Not sure of how expensive raw almonds are right now.  i have a Vitamix.  I do

have to get a juice bag to strain it.  I will have to get some pitted dates

too.  Made the best tuna salad last night that I can remember making.  Not

sure of what the difference is.  Did add 2 eggs to the can and put in some

honey mustard along with the mayonnaise and a bit of chopped pickle relish (not

the small relish I usually get but in a bit larger pieces).  it was so good.

I sure want to make some like that

> again.  I used Smart balance omega 3 mayo which is with olive oil.  It was

fresh so that might have been part of it.  I also put in some purple onions

which may be sweeter than the yellow or white.  Whatever it was I hope I do it

again next time.
