Also ammonia build up can look like yeast flare...................and SCD being high protein might make that worse, might not but something to keep in mind. Are his poops weird and wee smelling musty?

Hi All,

I would like to ask some questions on SCD and anti-yeast diets. Both are purposed to fight yeast, but with SCD we give kids fruits and berries and with Antiyeast we withdraw them. What's the logic considering the goal is the same for both diets? We first tried anti-yeast diet. It's thumb rule, as far as I understand it, says "If it's sweet, don't eat!" So we withdrew all sweet stuff from son's diet including fruits. He only ate vegetables, grains and meat. I cannot say he did well on this diet. First two months, he had gypoclicemia. I read from Cutler's book that it might mean aderenal stress and gave him adrenal support. Meanwhile he had the whole protocol and chelation going on, I don't know what helped but gypoclicemia is gone, thanks God. But he developed aggression and outbursts, which never happened to him in his life. I added some SCD foods to his diet - apples, raspberries and nuts. I didn't

reduce his grain intake though. He is doing much much better, he doesn't have outbursts, it seems he just enjoys eating these delisious foods. The only problem is that sometimes he seems to be dependant on them, and if he doesn't have them, he has an outburst again. He eats 1lb of cashew nuts and 2-3 apples or pears daily. I know he would eat more if I give him more. He stopped eating vegetables. I am not sure whether he "feeds" yeast with fructose. Advice needed.

i thought that but definely now as he dumped a whole bottle of tea tree conditioner in the bath and now he's very calm quite focused too, i didn't know about zeolites interesting as thats my goal to get his gut well enough to put the zeolites back in we had massive gains with them before.

We saw great stuff with Zeolites also, on the high dose protocol and kept the gains afterwards, cognition, so I don't think it was just soaking up ammonia but did cause massive yeast when we started and some spooky viral type rashes, right in your face and then poof, gone, bit like is seeing with Harry

Hi ,

I was thinking the book " Nourishing Hope " might be of interest - there's info

on-line too. It compares the different diets.

We found we had different issues with very, very many foods and it felt that we

would have been best on a food-free diet. We found we were fine with SCD-legal

fruits and a moderate amount of honey.

Best wishes, Sandy

purposed to fight yeast, but with SCD we give kids fruits and berries and with

Antiyeast we withdraw them. What's the logic considering the goal is the same

for both diets? We first tried anti-yeast diet. It's thumb rule, as far as I

understand it, says " If it's sweet, don't eat! " So we withdrew all sweet stuff

from son's diet including fruits. He only ate vegetables, grains and meat. I

cannot say he did well on this diet. First two months, he had gypoclicemia. I

read from Cutler's book that it might mean aderenal stress and gave him adrenal

support. Meanwhile he had the whole protocol and chelation going on, I don't

know what helped but gypoclicemia is gone, thanks God. But he developed

aggression and outbursts, which never happened to him in his life. I added some

SCD foods to his diet - apples, raspberries and nuts. I didn't reduce his grain

intake though.  He is doing much much

> better, he doesn't have outbursts, it seems he just enjoys eating these

delisious foods. The only problem is that sometimes he seems to be dependant on

them, and if he doesn't have them, he has an outburst again. He eats 1lb of

cashew nuts and 2-3 apples or pears daily. I know he would eat more if I give

him more. He stopped eating vegetables. I am not sure whether he " feeds " yeast

with fructose. Advice needed.
