Bolinda and others who expressed this same concern, I honestly did not see

anything wrong with the expression of opinion on either side of the

DISCUSSION. I don't think that anybody meant to offend at all. I think they

were sharing their opinion, which happened to be different. I don't think

that your post " DID " anything to this group except foster a discussion about

a topic that quite a few people had something to say about. I think it may

just stand out because we often post such supportive messages to each other

while we are on our Tae-Bo quest, so any differences in opinion look major to

us. Please understand that I'm not trying to minimize how anybody felt by

implying that this was not " major. " I'm just saying that healthy

disagreement is okay...even on message boards where support is one of the

primary characteristics. In looking at the posts, I didn't think, anybody

was cruel or hateful, and I think there was only one comment by somebody that

I would take as a " discouragement " to raise opinions in the future. For the

most part, people have ENCOURAGED others to continue to post and share their

opinions. And...the way I look at it...24 hours is not a long time to have a

discussion about a topic which people disagree on.

I'm babbling quite a bit again, but I'm trying to say that expressing an

opinion that is not totally in agreement with everybody is okay and healthy

discussion of differing opinions is okay too! I certainly didn't feel

offended by anybody who responded to my e-mail, and I hope I didn't offend

others with what I did say, for that was certainly not my intent.

There are tons of us here and we aren't always going to agree...but that

disagreement doesn't mean we don't get along.

Also, I really enjoyed 's post on this topic as well. Welcome back,

Hello to all of my taebo friends. Squashblosm here--who is delurking for a

quick minute to add in my two cents worth. I am curious about something.

Remember once before when we were building our Utopia underneath a rock? We

discussed at this time, the possibility that we might all be in sync with our

periods, including ovulation of course. I questioned whether or not women

had to live together, or might it be possible to be synchronized when you

spend time together online. I have PMS really bad today. I have been a

devil woman since yesterday. There have been other times when shared

opinions seemed to be " strong " in this group. I am wondering if those

incidents took place at the same time each month. It seems to me that they

did. Just a little food for thought. ;o) Sharon, who has fallen off the

wagon with her " healthy eating plan " and her taebo.

Susi I really love the way you expressed your views on this. You said what

I was thinking much better than I could.

So did I! Another way to look at the question, and very informative.

Thanks for weighing in on the topic, . And welcome back!

Bolinda,

Actually, I thought your original post was great and led to some very

intelligent discussion of a subject that alot of us are concerned

about. Some of us had the same thoughts as you did and I think all the

messages had some very valid points in them which really helped me look

at this in a more objective manner. I don't think anyone offended

anyone else and we are still discussing it because there are lots of

opinions on the subject and it's something we can all relate to!!!

Please don't let this stop you from posting your opinions...because

everyone's opinions are important, even when they aren't the same as

everyone else's. They may just help someone else who is thinking the

same thing as you, but just hasn't posted it or those who are lurking.

I for one, value everyone's opinions...even though I don't agree with

all of them.

Sharon,

Now that's an interesting theory...LOL. I know what you mean about

falling off the wagon with " healthy eating " ...I think I have single

handedly eaten an entire batch of iced sugar cookies...which may have

something to do with the headaches and general feeling of " blahness " .

I'm home now though and am getting back on track. I didn't tae-bo

yesterday or yet today, and was starting to feel bad about it, but I'm

trying to listen to my body and I'm gonna see if I feel any better

later on today. If not, I'm giving myself permission to take a few

days off. Try not to get too stressed about falling off track. It

happens to all of us every now and then. Just try to make smart

decisions today. I know I'll feel much better next week, when the

holidays are over and I can really put the focus back on myself and

really commit myself to getting back on track.

permission to overeat and drink and exercise a little less over the holidays

(through New Years day) because of travelling and social activities. There is

no guilt involved. I didn't want to make my husband, in-laws, parents, and

myself miserable over the holidays by not participating in the festivities. I

had a nice time. Tomorrow and New Years will be fun because we are spending it

at the beach with friends and I am going to enjoy myself. Then, on Sunday, it's

back to normal with eating. I'm already back into the routine with exercise.

One week out of the year is not the end of the world. So good for you for

taking this week in stride. I have no doubt that you will get back into it as

soon as you are ready (the Kathy kickboxing tape is a great morale

booster).

I agree, that we've had some differences of opinion in the past, and we have gotten over them. This is no different!!!

No, no, no!! Nobody should go anywhere! This will blow over. Everything will

be OK. Every family has disagreements. We've had little tiffs before and

gotten over them. This will pass too. Please, don't anyone leave...that will

make me sad :(
