New flyer and script have been added to the "files" section.

Calling the Senate can be scary. It isn't as scary as having S.1248

pass, but it is a more immediate gut twisting fear.

That is why we have tried to make it easier for you with the script.

You will not be speaking to your Senator. You will be speaking to a

aide. The aides job is to listen to you. They are, for the most part,

quite good at making you feel comfortable. Keep focused on your child

and his or her story. It is perfectly OK to become emotional as long

as you remain polite. Tears will not make you look weak. They will

show the aide the depth of our concern for our childrens' future.

We have been having an impact!! We need to keep it up. If you just

can't do it, ask someone to make the call for you (or with you). Or

ask for the fax number and fax them a note. If you can't do a long

call, just tell them that you want the Senator to protect your child

by voting NO on S.1248.

Ask your friends and relatives to call. Ask your clergyman to call.

Ask your child's teacher to call. Ask your child's doctor to call

My son's teacher had his class fax our Senators with notes about much

they have learned from having in class with them. It was VERY

effective.

The Constitution gives the power to govern to the people, not the

special interests. We have the right, and obligation, to make our

opinions known.

Yup this is real Fear Factor stuff, but at least we don't have to

make the call standing in a vat full of bugs.
