Hi JayneI have so far just used it for soups smoothies and juicing whole fruit and veg.Have also made ice cream using frozen fruit. It is so powerful it blends frozen things so quickly they are blended before they melt. We have nut allergy so don't do nut flours. My son has had great fun doing milkshakes with whole packets of biscuits, minstrels ,and mars bars (healthy as ever)You can make soup directly in the machine with raw veg by blending for longer. I tried this once but it did taste a bit weird. It would be great for nut butters. I think you need a dry blade for flours and dry thingsKathSent from my iPad

Hi KathThanks for that - yes I'd heard about the Vitamix blenders, and know they're a few hundred pounds, I'd like to be able to make nut and seed butters, and grind nuts etc for flours, do you use it for these kinds of things as well?Cheers Jayne From: Kath

Hi JaneHow much do you want to spend and what do you want it to do?If you want a hand blender the 700 watt hand blender from Argos is good and quite high powered for a hand blender,it gets good reviews. ( I have one )I have recently invested in a vitamix from . It was very expensive but is extremely high powered and can make juices out of whole fruits and veg.It is far less time consuming than a juicer both to use and clean. I bought it primarily to get nutrition into dd who won't eat fruit or veg. so far I love it and use it several times a day.Was expensive though , was dd and my Christmas pressie!KathSent from my iPadOn 20 Feb 2012, at 11:25, Jayne Walton
