Guest guest
When i say it makes me question biomed i just mean all the money!! we have spent all the hard work re diet supplements chelation hbot mb12 etc etc and my son far from recovered.. These kids with no biomed or diet and they are talking, playing, I know we all start off at different points on the spectrum and sadly Adam was hit hard:( d daughter attends main stream no shadow doing great in maths and Irish! (she did not speak english untill she as 5!) A friend attended a function where Mia gave a small speech, Friend said she would never ever pick her out to have any Autism traits .. Guest guest
Sorry Lara cant answer for as never met him...wish I had as I am his No 1 fan lol! But thank you for your mail which I could not respond offline as it would not go through. I know he does a lot in eire for charity in setting up diagnostic, assessment unit....SOLACE (do you know of an EP Alan Willis from UK helped setting up of it) also ABA because his daughter is?was in a ABA school. I think TA could take a lot of tips from IAA how they fundraise for example parents went up to top store in Dublin and built a wall (public had to pay 1euro per brick) over 10,000 brick wall built! If Harrods agreed to something similar for fundraising etc..I think it could hit the news! To be fair in Eire services are a lot worse than UK and is I guess flat out fundraising for his own country and maybe it is just ABA he wants to focus on...I can only guess to be honest. Lots of parents in Eire go to USA for DAN mainly of what I heard. The pull of parents in Ireland is a lot stonger than UK...they have support groups in most towns/cities that meet up and fundraise and socialise etc I wish my city had something like this set up in UK...speak to IAA they will tell you how they went about spreading the word....maybe they have done something we over here have not thought of! Maybe a case of trial and error....I never knew what Biomed even meant till a mumsnet mum told me....so even these are good sites believe it or not to spread the word! > > > > Hi we live in south of Ireland.s daughter has recovered completely she is just beautifull . I am almost 100% sure just ABA no biomed . He has done so much for Autism in Ireland and because his daughter Mia HAS recovered is has changed public opinion on Autism ..People now have hope and see our kids potential.. > > On another note a local group organised a Group meeting for parents with kids affected by Autism. Not one of 8 parents were doing biomed only us, and the very disappointing thing is (on our behalf) is my son is the only one going to ABA school and who is non verbal Following these meetings i really question Biomed:( i know i know too much to give up but No diet no supps no chelation and the kids are doing great! > > > It doesn't work that way unfortunately, my now 14yr old was very autistic up until 4yrs old, he gained language just before starting school at age 5, he had no biomed or ABA absolutely nothing, for a very long time he appeared virtually there in the " normal " stakes. > Gradually though his differences surfaced, OCD, Anxiety, Social difficulties, since putting him on certain supplements he has started to make some really good gains and is once again " normalizing " for want of a better word. was clearly sick from the outset. It's no different to when I watch my SIL feed her children total junk, they are ubersmart, well adjusted teenagers, no behaviours, nothing, don't I look the fool sitting there with and his special food, everything organic, enzymes, etc. I know for a fact I am the last word in denial among the nearest and dearest lol. > Nikki I will be glad to sponsor. > Vicky >

Guest guest
Just to add.... Kieth Duffy is patron of www.autismireland.ie Weelan is the CEO...He knows a LOT about autism, fund raising and a great guy to boot!Contact details are on the site. works tirelessly to raise awareness and to promote services for autism. He is so supportive of ABA because of the impact it had on his daughter's learning and development. He is also so supportive of all families who struggle to find services for our children in Ireland north and south and the UK. He endorsed my book and launched it by arriving a half an hour earlier than scheduled and did not leave until he had signed and chatted to all who attended including the children. This is after he had visited a number of schools and was heading off to attend a charity ball to raise money for autism that evening. I also attended and at the end of the night the sum total was 75,000 euro. Not bad for one night! Duffy is a Warrior Dad and his speech made growen men cry...I just wished our government leaders had been in front of him...but Rome wasn't built in a day...!
