Guest guest
- That is great news about getting into see the specialist in just 10 days. That is so rare! Yes! I would encourage you to call CT to get the ball rolling with insurance. You do not need a script for a consult. They can take pictures and send them to your insurance company for precertification. If you have this done ahead of time, as soon as the script is faxed to them, they can send it to your insurance company and you'll be on your way. Since time is of the essence, this would really help you along! It sounds like Childrens' may be switching to the STARband. Seems like Hannah needs an active band due to her severity, but I think it is still wide to go to CT. This will be a brand new product to them, even though they have experience. Given her age and severity, I think you are doing the right thing. There are payment plans with the DOC Band. They are steep, but it helps. We ended up slapping those payments on our credit card. Guest guest
Hi I am wondering how the secretary can be so sure that no insurance company will cover the cost of the NOPCO helmet anymore. Why don't you try calling NOPCO directly, when I called them, the person I spoke with was very knowledgable and helpful with all of my questions, even though I did not end up going with them. Maybe the NOPCO helmet finally got FDA approval. They did not have FDA approval when I was looking into them in January. Have you looked into Hanger for a locally made helmet? We have had great results with Isabella's helmet. I know it can be easy to get scared off of a local helmet. Guest guest
Hi : Wow, great to hear how quickly you have an appt w/the specialist! It sounds like they will now be using the STARband. And I don't know what the secretary was telling you how ins. absolutely would not cover it, regardless of what type of ins. you have, that's not correct at all! If you are considering CT, I would definitely call now to get the ball rolling w/your ins. information. Definitely good to start early! And CT will band babies as young as Hannah, so that's not an issue w/them. I wonder if NOPCO will still be available? hmmm. Keep us posted, good luck.
