Guest guest
I like these better! Keep in mind I made mine for fruit flies but it did seem to help with the fungus gnats. The one with the paper funnel. I would make the opening that is inside the jar a lot smaller. Guest guest
: There is no way on earth that I could have worms in my house. Alan would throw me and worms out the door. ROFL. But I do listen to you and I took two of the gnat catchers away. Oh, I CAUGHT 3 GNATS. I got so excited. Alan came over and said " OMG, I was wondering why I wasn't swatting them anymore. So there you have it. Guest guest
And I was about to go and make a wash out of my baking soda and some water and put that in a spray bottle and spray my veggies when I got them home. Now I know that it won't do anything. I never in all my life knew that larvae were so resistant (that they can't be washed off). What the heck can one do to get rid of them (if one thinks they have larvae on the produce?) Someone must have invented SOME kind of wash that gets rid of these things, no?? Guest guest
If you buy non organic produce, it has been heavily sprayed with pesticides-a far worse issue than a few lil bugs, if you ask me. Even on conventional produce, the bugs will win the war-it is nature in action, survival of the fittest. Many people advocate freezing grains, produce, etc. to " kill larvae and bugs " , but then you are just eating dead larvae, lol. Let them hatch out and fly off, catch them in your traps-no worries. > > And I was about to go and make a wash out of my baking soda and some water and put that in a spray bottle and spray my veggies when I got them home. Guest guest
So I guess that means that bringing in some lizards to run around and eat the bugs would be out of the question? Ask Alan what he thinks about that. Lee > There is no way on earth that I could have worms in my house. Alan would throw me and worms out the door. Guest guest
We don't kill the lizards down here as they eat bugs. But we don't let them in the house. Dave has to catch them and put them out. I've wondered about it though as there is a type of snake that likes to eat lizards and I don't want any snakes.  Carolyn Wilkerson  To: sproutpeople Sent: Tuesday, May 1, 2012 6:47 PM Subject: Re: I forgot to show you my newly made gnat catchers.  So I guess that means that bringing in some lizards to run around and eat the bugs would be out of the question?
