I totally respect Dr. Fuhrman and juicing vegetable juices is very beneficial.

When it comes to disease control I also respect Dr. Gerson, Dr. McDougall, Dr.

Esselstyn, Dr. and Dr. Barnard.  There is so much great information

out there.

Thanks for the encouragement

Donna

Donna,

Hi! I think you can't do better than Fuhrman's plan. He has so much

evidence for his way of eating, that I recommend it to anyone who wants

to get healthy. I can't be a full vegetarian, but don't eat meat very

much any more, mostly thanks to his book. I've lost about 30-35 lbs

since adopting his eating plan as much as I can. Cutting the volume is a

good way to lose weight, in addition to eliminating meat and breads as

much as possible.

Be careful with the juicing. If you juice fruits too much, you can add a

LOT of sugar to your diet. And remember what Fuhrman says about fiber?

By juicing, if it's an extractor, you're tossing the fiber and

micronutrients contained in it. I have a Ninja, and it juices the

entire plant, it's like a super blender, and nothing is wasted.

H.

Specifically, I'm going to follow the Eat to Live (Fuhrman) plan as much

as I can, including going mostly vegetarian - a lot it raw.
