Guest guest
Hi all, I think DS is getting side-effects from taking this medicine, he has been quite irritable on it, is having some major nose bleeds and has developed a dry cough, has anyone else experienced these when taking this medicine?....i'm not sure whether to persevere with it or not, as we are not seeing any other changes good/bad with taking it.....so i would love to hear others experiences with this.. tia, Nikki
Guest guest
Hi Nikki, how long has it been? We had nosebleeds for 5-6 days, then stopped completely but returned 4-5 months later so we stopped ketitofen – by then good effects seemed to have levelled off so didn't want to push it… Luckily all the gains stayed. I've heard of a couple of others who had irritability for the first few days, but then it stopped. One of those kids did very well on ketitofen in general, has been on it for 1.5 years now (mostly recovered). Guest guest
Thanks Natasa, I've decided to stop giving it now, he had been having it since August last year and seemed ok on it but no big wows (as usual with DS!), just a bit of tiredness at the beginning. But we had a break from it and restarted recently, just over 2 weeks ago, and this is when these nosebleeds started and they have been getting worse and more frequent, so what with these and his general low mood i've decided enough is enough, this stuff is not for us, another one to cross off the list!
