Hee-hee! In her effort to appear completely wonderful adn perfect in front

of the rest of the world Megatron would go toexcessive lengths to perpetuate

the " myth " that was our family! When I was I was in sixth grade, one of my

best friends had just moved in to a new...BRAND NEW JUST BUILT...house on the

river. Her parents owned a marina and had built a house there to be closer

to the business. She was having the innaugural sleep over and EVERYBODY was

going ot be invited to stay in the new house and swim in the pool and go

waterskiing. All of us were going to ride the bus home with Susie after

school that Friday. Megatron woke up Friday morning and decide that I had

not cleaned the bathroom well enough. SHe went on a tirade about me not

mopping the floor correctly. She grounded me and said I couldn't go on the

sleep over. I was heartbroken. ABout twenty minutes later she came to my

room and told me I wouldn't be going to school at all. I was dumbfounded.

She explained, " I won't have that b***h knowing that we have a dirty

bathroom floor. I am sure you would tell all of your little friends why you

weren't going to the sleep over and then the rest of my life people would

know I had a dirty bathroom floor. I called Sister Louise and told her you

were sick and you won't be in today, she will tell Mrs. you won't be at

the sleepover. Monday you can go back to school, but you'd better keep

family business in the family, understand? " Pretty twisted, huh? It is ok

to lie to the school, require your child to lie to her friends, and bad mouth

a very nice woman because she was better off...all in the name of

vanity....all so nobody would know we had a dirty bathroom floor!!! How I

ever made it this far, I'll never know!
