I live in Illinois and I just sent a letter to our school district each year saying will be attending our private school (French Creek Homeschool) for the school year. In Illinois homeschool has the same regulations as private schools. We do not report to the school district at all except for the first letter. Do a google search on homeschooling and you can find most information. As far as curriculum, there are soooo many. We use Abeka which is Christian based and very structured. I need to be structured. If I can help you anymore just let me know.
