Guest guest
I just read " The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Nighttime " by Mark Haddon. It was very good, and if you haven't read it, you might want to. It is totally fiction, and not written by a parent or relative of a person with autism, but it is a mystery told from the point of view of a teenaged boy with autism. I think the author did a very good job portraying autism and it's effects on an entire family, not just on the main character. I thought it gave me an excellent impression on what it is like to be autistic. Not being autistic, I can't vouch for it's accuracy, but it sure seemed dead on.
