Guest guest
Lol Carolyn, its really easy just take a seed and a paper towel thats been wetted but wrung out. Still moist but not dripping, wrap the seed in it, put it in a zip lock baggy or any plastic bag and seal/ tie/ knot it up and put in a dark place for about 2-3 weeks sometimes longer. Just check periodically when you see roots and usually a tip started then plant. IF the seed starts to mold although it is growing, you can wash the mold off and it will still do good.  Want to understand the Bible better?  FREE  studies.  For more info Just ask! ________________________________ To: " sproutpeople " <sproutpeople > Sent: Thursday, June 7, 2012 11:29 PM Subject: Re: Re: Growing Avocado - , et. al  We await with baited breath. How? Guest guest
Thanks, that is worth a try. Were they the green Florida avocadoes or the black haas ones that you planted? Sometimes how deep a plant is buried depends on whether or not it will bloom. If you ever get amaryllis (gorgeous) be sure to put the top of the bulb out of the dirt. You don't plant them all the way under the soil. A part has to stick up over the top, about 1/3 or it. I gave one a eyar ago to some neighbors and several told me that they were coming back and one told me the green grew but no flowers and I asked about the bulbs. She moved them up higher and they had a flower stem on it.  have no idea about avocadoes.
