I see a lot of people who take both. It is important that you rinse

your mouth out, and spit, after you use your Advair.

The normal dose of Singulair is a 10mg pill. They also have 5mg and

4mg pills.

I use Advair 250/50 always rinsing my mouth after use, and Singulair 10 mg.

I'm on 10 mg of singulair once a day and Advair (250/50) 1 puff twice a day. I've been lucky never to have had problems w/ the advair.lindahys@... wrote:

The pulmo has started me at a 5 mg., a juvenile dose, since I'm med sensitive.

Questions are:

What is your Singulair dose?

Do you take it with Advair?

Thanks!

I'm one of those nuts who always reads the complicated

medical professionals' insert for medications. Buried

in the jumble of Singulair facts is some info

indicating that tests have shown that doses higher

than 10mg have no increased effect on anyone, unlike

many other medications. So I would imagine that 10 is

the amount for everyone on it, unless like you they

require a smaller dosage.

Being medication sensitive, you should be cautious

about taking any aspirin with Singulair or for hours

either way of the dose, because aspirin causes higher

levels in the bloodstream and it stays medically

available for a longer period of time.

I'm on 10mg, but sometimes when the only samples my

nurse has available are 5 mg, rather than take two,

I'll take just one, along with a couple aspirin.

I'm also on a variety of allergy medications and

Advair.
