Guest guest
> Which Tae Bo tapes do you have? I have the original studio tapes...Instructional, Basic, Advanced and 8 minute and all the Lives that have come out so far...BL 1,2,3,4 and 5 and AL 1,2,3,4 and 5. >Which is your favorite tape? It's really hard to pin point a favorite, because it really does change on any given day. I'd have to say that AL2 is definitely one of my favorites because I have just always loved that one from the first time I did it. For the basics I'd have to say BL 1 or 2 because they also get me going. But of course as I'm writing this I'm thinking, but BL3 sure is great and so is BL4. Guess I'm not much help with this one....I like them all. >Which is your least favorite? Why? I'd have to say my least favorite is AL5, but only because I hate floorwork and it seems to drag on forever! BL5 is my least favorite of the basics...I just haven't been able to get into it yet, like the others. Maybe the more I do it, the more I'll like it. >What would you like to see in future videos? I'd like to see a better warm up and cool down, especially on the Advanced videos. I know this would make them longer than 60 minutes, but I think it would be worth it. I'd definitely like much more stretching or perhaps a video of just stretching that you could add on to the end or beginning of the video. I lost weight pretty fast doing this for two weeks...and of course gained it all right back. It was the perfect high school diet for me lol. Guest guest
> > What is the most ridiculous fad diet you have ever tried? Let's see I've done about everything...I can remember doing something about lose 10 lbs in 3 days and you had to eat only certain foods...I can't remember what they were, but of course I couldn't stick to it. I also went to this place (don't remember the name) where I only had shakes for all my meals...I actually got all the blood work and everything done. I can't believe I actually did this...what a waste. I also can't believe that the people actually LET me do it, because I was maybe 30 lbs overweight at most. And I think this was really a diet center for severely overweight people. I might have lasted one day on this. I never went back for the second check up. Also, I have taken all kinds of pills...dexatrim, appetite suppressants, etc. I'm surprised I'm not dead because I always took double the recommended dosage which at the time I thought nothing of and now know was a big mistake! Also, when I was in the throes of my eating disorder I used to take like 15 laxatives a day (or more) sometimes I took the whole sheet, when you're supposed to take 1 or 2 pills....don't even ask me how I functioned doing that. I can remember having horrible stomach cramps and going to the bathroom like a million times a day, praying that no one was in there. Gosh, I was really messed up! Oh well, needless to say, I have finally realized that all of that was idiotic and senseless and the only way to lose weight is to be healthy and DO EVERYTHING IN MODERATION!!!!! At least I learned a lesson from all of that, right? who really doesn't like to think back on those days because she did some horrible things to her body, but is proud of how far she has come in terms of the way she thinks about her body and the food that goes into it

I would also add trying to eat less saturated fats and substitute nonsaturated fats for saturated fats. For example, use olive oil instead of butter and egg substitute for eggs. Use applesauce or yogurt when baking. Eat more white meat (chicken, turkey breast) and less red meat. Try to eat at least one serving fatty fish (ex., tuna, salmon, rainbow trout, swordfish, cod, haddock, ... ) per week. This will help keep you healthy cholesterol and weight wise. Your love of vegetables and fruits is great for you. Elena
Guest guest
What food or foods trigger binges for you? Have you been able to keep this food in your diet or have you had to ban it completely? Do you have any tips on how to deal with " trigger foods " ?I avoid low-nutrient carbs such as rice, potatoes, sweet potatoes, pasta, breads, and certainly refined-flour sweets. I try to keep my sugar intake very low as well. I have no trouble eating well without going overboard as long as I stay away from these trigger foods. Once I have just a peice of french bread or something it can take 3-4 days to get back on track. I do eat whole grains, but try to get them sprouted, or as dense and full of fiber as possible (like Grape-Nuts), so I don't miss needed grains.
