A while ago, I wrote how my nada always puts herself down, ( " Oh, I'm so stupid " ) and I disagree (NO, of course you aren't " ). Edith's reply to this was along the lines of trying something different, and why not try agreeing for a change and see what happens. So, last time we spoke on the phone - well, last time SHE spoke and I listened <VBG> - she was talking about crocheting an afghan but had given up on it because she couldn't handle the colours because she can only work with pastels <sigh!> and ended with " You know me, I give up so easily " . I replied, " That's right, you sure do! " . Well, she spent the next 5 minutes telling me how it was really OK for her to give up easily because ..... I just replied with sure, whatever you say. It was a fun experiment. I think I'll do it again next time the opportunity comes up. I won't agree with something that I know is wrong. But I will agree if I think she's looking for the opposite.
