Hi ,

I'm not sure if the band can help with the jaw but I think that the

physical therapy will help some. What did your PT say about it?

,

Please let us know how your son's intitial Starband fitting goes on

Tuesday!

I wanted to post to say that there is one study in the links/plagio

studies and research folder that states the helmet/band does not

correct any jaw (mandibular) asymmetry. It's not too often that I

read posts mentioning a jaw asymmetry concern, but I'm so glad a

group member already replied that is facing similar concerns with

her baby! I wish we had more information on jaw asymmetry and

subsequent treatment to share; perhaps we'll hear back from some of

the parents in the future as their plagio babies grow up to young

children and these concerns are addressed/corrected with orthodontia

or whatever.

Take care,

Hello

My daughter Willow still has a crooked little smile after the band.

When I look at her mouth inside and out I really can't see any asym,

but when she smiles you can see it. So in our case it didn't take

care of it. Hopefully it won't be a problem later on.

We are still in pt as well even though Willow's tort is resolved. I

think that maybe this asym is caused from the tort in combo with

plagio.
