Hello everybody!

Once again I am facing the big difficulties. Two months ago we were at UCL in

dental clinic. They didn't find something look problamatic in my son's mouth. He

had the x-Ray before. However they suggested more deep investigation under the

anesthesia, I wasn't happy, I said no.I was told that during the examination, if

they find any tooth decay, last resort filling it with amalgam, because this is

the British Dental Assoication's protocol and they obliges to follow it!I said

no,but what am I going to do, I don't know.

He has epilepsy, needs anesthesia..where can I take him, it should be fully

equipped hospital, otherwise it is risky. The second option, I may try in Turkey,

but I want him to receive the treatment here..

I will go to the second appointment at UCL and I will ask them to take X-Rays

but if anything comes up, there is no option for us there..Any suggestion

please, where can I take him?He already lost two teeth because I didn't accepted

amalgam but we can not dare to loose more!!This is ridiculous, I take the risk

for the anesthesia but giving no choice!

Many thanks

Is there any chance of persuading them he's allergic to mercury? Then there

could be warning notice on his notes and they wouldn't use amalgam.

Nevin,

Before going for the test it might be as well to establish that it is a test

that would be recognised by the NHS,I suggest.

There might be a different test elsewhere that would be more useful - I did a

bit of googling last night. Dr Myhill can organise a different test but again I

don't know whether the NHS would recognise it...

H had a massive local reaction twice to a mercury containing vaccine and I think

that may have persuaded our dentist..
