someone mentioned earlier that their baby had a bulge around the area where the band velcro's together. the extra fluid has no where eles to go. maybe this is happening to your baby. is your baby sleeping well? maybe from restless sleep. just a theory.

Hi Amy,

Welcome to the group! I'm not familiar with pouches under the eyes

but I'm sure someone here is. I just wanted to welcome you to the

group.

Hi Amy & welcome to our group:

Gee, that's a new one to me too actually. I can't remember hearing of

that before. Are they like the tired looking bags under eyes?

Glad to hear how well he's tolerating it well thus far. What type of

helmet is he wearing?

Hope those pouches go away soon!

Debbie,

Thanks. They look like regular pouches under the eyes, but they are

smaller and located slightly outside and below. He is wearing an N-iC

helmet. Supposedly it's common here in the NYC area. Have you heard

of them?

Hi Amy,

I too am in NY. I'm on Long Island. I looked into the N~IC band when

this was all starting out for me. I believe I posted on here about it

and since no one really knew anything about them I went with the

DOCband. That was back in May-June.

Did you see a pediatriac neurosurgeon in Manhattan? I took my

daughter to see Dr. Wisoff in Manhattan for a second opinion.

Where in the city are you located?

Jen, we experienced some swelling of the eye lids when was in his band- maybe that is a good theory with the pouches under the eyes? I would ask the ortho too.

Hi Amy, and welcome to the group! I honestly can't say that I recall

anyone saying that the eye pouches on their babies have gotten

bigger. Just a thought, but do you think that the pouches only

appear bigger because he's wearing the band? You know, like you are

seeing less of his head, so that the features he does have now seem

to stand out more or are exaggerated? Maybe give your ortho a call

and see what their opinion on this is.

Hi ,

We're in Manhattan. We went to see Dr Wisoff originally and he

recomended the place we went to. I beleive it's called Hanger (it's

in the same building as Dr Wisoff). I guess we did not do enough

research, as we did not know we had a choice of which band to use...

You may be right. We are paying much closer attention to everything

now. Coulbe that we are overexamining.

Amy

Hi Amy,

What did you think of Dr. Wisoff? Yes, Hanger is in the same building

as Dr. Wisoff. I'm sure you made the right decision. All that matters

is that you see results. :-)

Please keep us posted!!
