Guest guest
Hi Sylvi, Nairns do gluten free oats - red box buy them from waitrose. They also do a purple box for a more instant porridge - 6 or 8 sachets in a pack. Don't know of an organic coconut milk - hemp milk is a good dairy free milk but depends on whether your son would like the taste- one of my daughters does other doesn't. Hi, Please can you tell me a good organic coconut milk and/or GF oats that I can use for my son? Would you suggest trying any other kind of dairy free milk? Guest guest
I've got used to having rice milk in cereals. I only like the Provamel Organic Rice Milk. Beware of the very similar packaging (also green)that Alpro do for their soya milk, which I really hate. The rice milk is available from Sainsbury's, long life drinks section. Unfortunately most of the organic coconut milk now contains guar gum as well, which makes it look better but is not as nice as it used to be. The brands, all organic, I buy are Waitrose's own brand,Biona and Blue Dragon. If there are chinese or asian supermarkets near you have a look for organic brands there. I love coconut milk in things like rice pudding, curries and sauces which require cream, but not on cereal. I don't eat GF oats because they have a strange depressing effect on me, even the ones which say they are gluten free. I am totally gluten and dairy free and have been for about ten years now. Eating dairy by accident makes me feel really depressed in the same way as when I've tried gluten free oats, only worse.
