I WILL SEE YOU IN VEGAS!!!! As you mentioned, we may just be a small group, but

its a start. Hopefully the response will be better as the years go by!

Unfortunately I will not be able to travel with the family, since we are flying

to Phoenix the very next week and its quite a ordeal taking the 3 yr old and 18

month old in a aircraft where they have to be strapped in and not allowed to run

amok in the ailes! I will plan on getting there Sat 8th by noon and fly out on

Sunday afternoon.

i am sorry neeti -- it is to late to reschedule -- so you will miss the 2005

gettogether -- but hopefully many more to come -- and we would love you to

organize it in Atlantic City - for me it always be two in one as you know--

second I have realized I am not going to go after the silent members of the

group as it is annoying to them probably and frustrating for us --

we have been rescheduling this event since spring of 2003 when i first came up

with the idea - for someone or the other's convenience -- enough is enough -- as

long as pratik and chetan and may be surender are coming i am going ahead-- i

know some other people who are not in the group / inactive and not the silent

category - who are interested -- them i will be contacting directly -- remember

.....there are only a handful of us who are " active " in this group --the other

silent members probably think we are goof balls and have fun at our cost -- koi

farak nahi padtha -- as long as we are having a blast --

you would have known if you would have come to UK gettogether -- " the magic of

mgims " is as enthralling as the disney magic -- may be we should patent it --

just kidding..

now if chetan and pratik -- something unavoidable comes up for them too -- i

think me renuka and kids will think of it as a vegas vacation !!

i have not contacted dr kalantri by phone but via email he had indicated that

was the weekend he could make it --

so sorry -- can't accomodate your last minute wishes -- even though you have

beconme such a close friend --

each year one of us could take the initiative to organise the gettogether -- one

of the reason for the vegas loc and dates was dr kalantri's willingness to

attend.

the least you could do is call your friends and see if you could motivate some

Now coming to MGIMS-USA reunion......a good news and a bad news.

OK,good news first (say a big THANK YOU to me first)---Kshama Daphtary'87 is in

Las Vegas........so you need not worry about organising the event......no need

to even previsit the area......just contact her(check out her email ID from the

new members list)If you want i can give you her phone No.I wonder Kshama why you

are so silent......c'mon girl,break the ice and say hello/hi....!!

Now coming to the bad news.....Yes! you are right,first reunion is definitely

going to have feeble attendance.And i am afraid (90-95% sure) .....i myself may

not be able to make it to the grand event.I'll like to be frank with

you..........there is nothing against organising the event or the place or the

reunion itself but its all about the timings.......with two weddings coming up

in the family,life is goin to be busy (it already is)around this time........the

way things are shaping up at my end.

But in case the gathering gets cancelled or something......you'll have my

wholehearted support for the next spring or summer.......say what,you all?? I

don't mind even organising the event here in Atlantic City......of

course,depends upon the popular vote of our alumni.And if you guys wanna

organise it somewhere else.......thats not a problem either!!

So i believe first thing is try to get an idea......how many people are ready to

make it to Vegas.....and then we'll go from there.
