Guest guest
I just want to take a moment at the end of my Christmas Day to extend heart-felt thanks to all the inspirational parents on ABE. Since the Andy Cutler conference in June, we have completed 13 rounds of chelation on our 14 year-old DS and witnessed so many subtle improvements that altogether they paint a promising outcome. In past years we've tried numerous interventions, but without sustained improvements. So, for the sake of self-preservation, I'd stopped searching and settled for not raising hopes that leave you vulnerable. But recently we've noticed that his sentences are getting longer and he'll actually stand still to concentrate on what he's trying to say. He has asked a few questions starting with a `wh' word, used the correct pronoun and even responded to instructions after only one hearing. Three years of ABA could not achieve what chelation has achieved in 6 months! This reflective time of year usually leaves me choked and soaked in s, but this year has me hugging memories and daring to hope for 2012 (although still soaked in s!) Many thanks, ABE angels!
