[ascc2] SSI Disability claim denied

My 21 year old high-functioning autistic son was denied SSI disabilty

benefits

because his " condition is not severe enough to keep him from working " .

Without SSI benefits he does not qualify for Medicaid. After this school

year I

will no longer be able to keep him on my insurance.

Does anyone know of anyone who was denied benefits who was able to get

them after an appeal? Anyone know a lawyer who specializes in this area?

Without Medicaid he may lose his eligibilty for services from Lifepath

and would

not qualify for job finding assistance or a group home.

I would appreciate any help in this matter.
